![]() I know, I know its only September and I am sorry I know some of you don't want to think about Christmas for a good few months but I plan to make as many of my Christmas presents this year and the reality of this means I need to start now. For those of you that just don't want to see it yet I have kept it on a separate page just ignore if you wish and stick to my usual blog. Thank you. My list (I cant say who they are for but I will try to share how they are made and materials used). Hampers to include handmade blackberry Jam and mince meat. 3 Crochet Blankets 1 Crochet Scarf A box of 12 Birthday Cards Gift Cards 2 Charm Bracelets 6 Pack of Crackers 2 boxes of 12 Gift boxes 2 Scrap book kits more to follow. So this is my list so far I am sure it will grow! A Simple Crochet Blanket. I struggle with patterns. I can read them but I find I just want to go my own way. Both my girls have asked for handmade blankets. For me a simple single crochet blanket is the easiest and made in a chunky wool means it will work up quickly. I am planning a month with an hour most evenings should be enough I hope!. The best thing about blankets is you can make them as big as you need. I have already started Elle-may's she wants pinks and purples. I will try to film me making the second one so if you haven't tried crochet yet then I really hope this will help. If you are a complete newbie fear not! check out Woolywonderscrochet on you tube her videos are fantastic. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyToSTyaK64TeKwkST6a7AQ/videos So this is the blanket so far look out for the pattern coming soon. So that's the start of my Christmas homemade. Keep checking back for more updates.
