Hello welcome back, how have you been?. I have been itching to try this die set out. When I treated myself to some new dies in the sizzix sale for my birthday I was interested in trying out these dies with matching stamps. When I ordered this one I assumed like the others I would be getting individual stamps to match the dies. Well this one is a little different. You actually get 1 large stamp which is perfect for back grounds. This set is by Stephanie Ackerman. Google her name and you will come across her blog you can also find her work designs and dies available on the sizzix web page under the designer section. This stamp is perfect for those who like colouring in! You have a few options with this stamp. Use it as a stamp or stamp it out then die cut the individual flowers and leaves to use separately. Like in the card bellow. Or you could Decoupage them on top of the stamped image to create a 3d effect. To make sure you cut your stamped image accurately use some low tac tape, washing is ideal. Of course the Dies work perfect without the stamps. I really like this set I have made three different cards so far with this set but it's got lots more uses yet.
Remember to think about how useful to you the die set may be before you invest in it. Have a crafty weekend xxxx

If you only buy one die buy a flower die! Or a punch if you don't have a die cutting machine. Why? Well flowers are so versatile. Who doesn't like a flower die? I recently placed an order with sizzix who have a massive sale on at the moment. You can pick up flower dies for less than £5. This is what I have been making with mine. But you don't have to stick to just using flowers on cards you could make a wreath or a garland.
Keep an eye out perhaps I should make a flower paper garland for spring, watch this space. Hope it's a Crafty week for you xxxxx No not at all! Just happened to have an evening working with blue. I really needed some ribbon storage, after checking out Pinterest I came across this lovely blog with some fab makes on it and look I followed this one to create this little ribbon holder. Why don't you check it out. I also had a play with some flower dies and floral paper. Sometimes we just need to experiment without reason or even an end result. Take a little time out and just create with out reason or pressure. Enjoy xxxx
Hello thank you for checking back. Last weekend was a big one for my family. Both me and my daughter share our birthday!, but we had an extra treat with the birth of my new niece Chloe. Chloe was 4 weeks early. She must have really wanted to share in the birthday fun and she and her mum are doing really well so that's fantastic news. Above is a picture of the card I have made her. The card is from Stampin Up and I used an Xcut nesting die and a file from the silhouette store which just about cut! I had to make Jessica a birthday card. She loves rainbows and she loves unicorns, well I had this decoupage image in my Gorjuss paper pack which I had. I used my cameo to cut a heart and then using a whole punch I cut lots of random wholes around the edge and ran the heart along the edge of an pink ink pad. I also made good use of my die cut alphabet. I am really pleased with this card and Jessica loved it to.
Next week I will be looking stamps I do hope you check back. |
