Hello its half term for me and my children and its been so busy and its only Wednesday. The rest of this week will be spent tidying bedrooms, making chocolate chip cookies as well as catching up with friends and family, we might even squeeze a meal out into our busy week. That means finding time to write a blog or even do some crafting is a little harder. I did however finish my wreath, this is just a little peek of it. I made a few mistakes on this one. I used a double crochet to cover the base but I really don't like the look of it so next time I will using a single crochet and a different wool!. Bellow is my link to Pinterest so you can see the flowers I used to make my wreath. I am going to make some bunnies on pins to attach to my wreath for Easter then I will share the full view of it. I actually spared a few moments to peek through some old crochet magazine for my next project. I have a pattern for a tea cosy, some fingerless gloves and a large basket all of which I need new supplies for. But its fun planning a new project. It's mother Day soon and I have a few really easy projects to share with you so make sure you check back soon. Enjoy the week xxx Hello on this restful Sunday and Happy Valentines Day. You know me can't help but celebrate every little event it helps in the longing I have for spring!. So I made up this little board. I had one last £1 chalk board left but sadly with these once the vinyl is stuck that is it!. One chalk board One Silhouette Cameo (promise will do a blog in the near future about the machine) White and red Vinyl and a phrase from the silhouette store and a slightly wonky sign but still its for me so I am happy with it. Oh and a little red paint! To celebrate we started the day with croissants, pancakes and fresh coffee.
For me its all about my family so we headed of to do our weekly shop with the addition of some tulips and some yummy chocs and then to a local Book Shop. The children each picked something of interest a sticker book and a magazine, we picked up some colouring books, one being a tattoo colouring book for my Husband and some new colouring pencils. I got a copy of the latest Do Crafts Magazine, which I will review for you this week and we headed home. As I type this sat along side me at the table is a mass of colouring. A much needed family day, filled with coffee chocolate and the therapy of craft. Enjoy your Sunday and enjoy Valentines day xxx Hello hope your well, we aren't to good in this house, eldest son has sore throat, and my youngest two are full of another cold, but they are soldiering on. Also I have not been keeping up with my yoga, getting used to fitting the job, dog and housework in has left me a little shorter on time than I had imagined, then to top it off, weebly now require me to use an app to operate from my tablet, and I just don't get it, so blog wise I'm running behind and its costing me time, ok rant over thank you I have got it off my chest now. So did you catch my Thursdays Paper craft blog? This week has been a first for me. I made my first cheese cake! that wasn't a packet mix, ( thank goodness for my kenwood chef), then I finally made my first crochet hat, well two actually, just using a guide from pinterest!. That has actually got me back into crochet so after heading to the craft shop I picked up a polystyrene Wreath. I think it was about £1.60, but its a lot bigger than I had planned I will be slowly working on it which is hopefully going to be ready for spring. The plan is to make sure every flower is different!, keeping the colours to pale yellow, blue green and white. Bellow is the link to some of the flowers I will be adding, keep an eye on it if your thinking of trying the same thing. I have made a few more but I will save them for a blog when I look at how to cover the base.
Can you believe that its nearly Valentines Day!, I am not at all ready. I have had no less than 5 cards to make this week and I haven't taken photos of any of them opps, but I did knock up this one yesterday. Whilst I am not 100% happy with it I really seam to struggle with my BFG stamp set. I do like the template I have created. Well that's it really for this week, Next week I have some storage ideas so I hope you will check back with me then. Take care xxx |
