Hello thanks for joining me.
Today I have a video for you because one of the biggest questions I get is about die cutting. Die cutting is probably one of the most useful craft purchases you might ever make. I hope the video explains it to you better using my little bargain pre-owned Side kick. Now this isn't In my papercut section because I just think that die cutting has so many uses. I plan to talk to you soon about the big shot which is my main cutting machine. In fact this machine can cut fabric, vinyl infact this machine can cut so many different mediums that why I had to include it in this section. That doesn't mean that all die cutting machines can do the above. For now enjoy the video. xxx

Hello and its Friday thanks for joining me to see another organizing idea.
This is a simple way to store your dies. Have a fab weekend full of crafting xxxx Hello welcome back what a busy week actually a little too busy for my liking. Hence my lack of blogging and lack of Crafting. But today is Friday and for me Friday is now let's get organized with me Friday!. Each week I will bring you a new organizing tip and show you how I get organized. Fear not we will both be learning on the way!. So are you ready to see my first video click the box bellow. This week I finished this wreath which is a present for my sister's birthday.
For this wreath I made a little white trim to allow it to be hung. I said this with the last wreath I crochet I need to slow down when I'm making them. I definitely get over excited when I'm making a wreath and the urgency to get it finished often results in hand pain sadly. But now this one is finally finished I'm ready to start thinking about my winter wreath. Time to get on Pinterest for some inspiration. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for reading xxxxx Hello how are you?, Did you survive the first week back? My week was full of ups and downs and not nearly as much crafting as I would like. But I did manage to make myself this lovely little charm necklace. These blank rope type necklace came in a pack of three from my local craft shop for £1.50. I reused a jump ring and the charms come from the docrafts country living range embellishment pack. These are so lovely I didn't really want to use them on cards I just wanted to keep them. I think that happens a lot with craft supplies that's why crafters hoard so much!. Anyway I simply attached the teapot and kettle to the jump ring and threaded it onto the necklace. Ahhh I know breaking the rules of odd numbers look better than even but it's ok I can live with that. This cost about £1.20 to make not bad. Could be a fab gift. My sugar scrub Lastly So sorry that I forgot to tell you how to make this and after a few of you requested the recipe let me enlighten you. It's simply a cup of olive oil and a cup of brown sugar. I did add a teaspoon of cinnamon to give it a scent. The oil doesn't dissolve the sugar so the sugar then becomes the scrub with the oil leaving your skin supper soft. A word of warning you need to rinse you and your shower well as oil can make your shower slippery. I'm no expert in skin care but I saw variations of this recipe online. I don't see a reason why it should cause any irritation? Use at your own risk. But my skin is so soft. I will try a salt scrub soon I'll let you know how I get on. 6 hour blanket Last week I decided to make my mother in law a blanket for her birthday which is in the end of September. Yes I know that's not a lot of time! So I searched the internet and found a lap blanket that can be made in 6 hours. So my lovely mum and dad headed off to shawls for me and picked up this lovely soft Marriner Super Chunky pink wool. I have used this before and it's lovely and soft. My plan is to do an hour a night! But this time I'm joining two balls together so it should work up quicker. Last night's efforts. I have a plan to do something a little different with this one so I will give you the pattern for it once it's finished. Wish me luck. I'd love to know what you've been up to why not leave me a comment. As always thanks for reading. Have a lovely weekend xxxx |
