Hello hasn't winter well and truly joined us. To be honest I'm not really a fan of the cold and I had this lovely chunky wool left over which was just asking to be a snood. Now Google snood and you will find lots of different versions but basically it's a scarf that you slip over your head so it's formed in a loop. The main benefit is it stays in place. I used a size 6 hook and chained 62 then joined with a slip stitch chained one and half double Crochet around. You simply build as many rows as you want but remember as it falls if it's to high it will become very hot and heavy if you are using a chunky yarn. I love the idea that I can make something useful and I'm currently working on a green snood with matching hat.
I will share this with you soon. Keep warm everyone be back soon xxxx

Hello welcome back. It's funny because I opened my blog with the intention of writing a magazine review but I took a look at my stats which for some reason are a little low and I wondered have my posts become boring?. I know from my stats that you seam to like my crochet blogs more than anything else. Now funnily enough I have a few crochet projects that I haven't shared with you yet. Including my winter wreath. But I'm not going to be sharing that just now because in a few weeks I need to put my Christmas wreath up (which I've yet to start). So I am saving it till the new year. Now as my title and the top picture shows I've started and infact finished another wreath. You see that's the beauty of Crochet. It's so handy. We have had some visitors and the truth is I find it very hard to sit and do nothing. With my wreaths I know I can sit and make it without a pattern and it's almost unnoticeable to most that I'm even Crocheting as I can talk and crochet at the same time. Plus if your working on something small it's easy to take with you. So just over 7 hours later I have finished this stunning wreath. You see my inspiration came from a lovely ball of red dyed wool which is what makes up most of the colours on this wreath.i just added a little bright red and some purple. I'm really pleased with this and it could possibly look rather fab in my bedroom. Now even with this finished I found myself starting another wreath in pinky shades and purples. What am I doing! This is crazy I've less than 3 weeks to make my red and white tacky over loaded Christmas wreath I must be mad.
So the plan? well it's got to be red and white stripes I might add some different shades of red perhaps and I'd love to make a robin and a ginger bread man to go on it plus a big crochet bow. This one is being to be massive i better get started. But if your thinking you want make a wreath but can't crochet just keep an eye on my blog as I have a tutorial coming very soon. Take care everyone xxxx Hello welcome to November how quickly has it come about and now I really need to get working on Christmas projects and decorations. So today I'm just gonna share some of the items I have purchased with you via YouTube so I hope this inspires you to perhaps have a go at making some homemade presents this year. As you can see I have a lot to keep me busy and I am trying to plan it into weeks although that's not always easy as plans can often go wrong.
I really hope you are inspired to perhaps try making some thing this Christmas? Remember to keep an eye on my blog as I share with you what I make with the above products. Super Exciting. Happy Crafting xxxx |
