Yep its finally time to share with you just how I make my bobby pins and its so simple but comes with a warning!. Firstly finding the right bobby pins. Take a look around ebay and you will find a wide range of bobby pin blanks. DO NOT use bobby pins without the little plate attached or your lovely button or gems will have nothing solid to stick to!. You can buy loads of colours, different lengths, thicknesses all sorts its a person choice which you go for, I recommend 8 mm silver plated with the pad. I found 50 from china for £2.30. Or if you cant wait £5.00 for 50 from a Uk seller. Which still only makes then 10 pence each before you add anything. Resins, Buttons and Gems. The choice is yours I generally find sets of 6 flowers resins for £1 in crafts shops The Works often has some. Or you can bulk buy resin flowers I found 50 for £2 on ebay. Perhaps you want to use buttons you may have some at home you can use. Glue Gun The best thing ever. You need one that's all I use. Heat it up apply it to the flat back and stick it into the plate of the bobby pin, leave a few minutes to set and you are done. , My week Well I was hoping to be much more organized for my little girls birthday party but my week has been very busy and next week looks set to be the same!. So far I have cut out the cake boxes, cut out the fry boxes which are going to be used instead of party bags and stamped and cut the circles to go onto the fry boxes. I still have so much I would like to make lets hope I get the time. Once its all ready I share with you my makes on my party page. Lastly this weekend thanks to having a son mad about cars we are heading off to Castle Combe Circuit for Mini World Action Day and luckily I picked up these large buttons perfect for hair accessories. These are on a crocodile type clip again hot glued in place. Perfect. I will share some pictures of my weekend with you soon, Thanks for reading and have a lovely weekend. xxx

![]() Create and Craft If you like crafting you will probably already know about create and craft the craft/shopping channel for crafters. From paper craft, painting, cake decorating, mdf, sewing, crochet and knitting. It hosts some of the biggest names in craft supplies with a wide range of shows on all day, showing you how to use the products that it sales. It also offers a flexi basket so you can spread the cost of your purchase on higher price items over a few months, great if you want a die cutting machine. I do like watching it you can pick up some tips and they do have some really good buys. Now with some many birthdays this month I didn't have any plans to buy anything but the New Gorjuss range came up at an amazing price of just £19 delivered for the set. Here are some pictures of what came with it. In this set I have one set of toppers, A4 ultimate paper and die cut pack, an 8x6 paper pack and some notelets. Now honestly just start with the A4 ultimate die cut and paper pack, which retail at £12.95 I would think you could easily make over 30 cards with this pack on its own. The Ultimate A4 die cut and paper packs are great, docrafts do lots of them in different ranges. This is the 1st one I have tried. It comes with coordinating papers, toppers, decoupage and a few other bits and pieces. I love it, so many cards out of this, the papers for layering, the pictures and tags for the main features, plus a page of boarders, (more would have been better), loads of tags but no sentiments!, you get the shapes to put them on and they are a great for using you sentiment stamps which you probably already have and don't use!, if you don't enjoy stamping docrafts have sentiments you can print out. Or buy a trusty 99p sheet of peel offs from the craft shop. All you need to produce some great cards is the card blanks and envelopes and some glue or double sided tape. Take a peek at some I have made. A little frame? I love these white frames from the pound shop, I have simple used one of the decoupage sheets to and papers to make this lovely little frame. I also made a little tea light holder which would be fab for teachers gifts. I will demo one soon for you get your Christmas papers ready!. This set would be so perfect for girls its great for newbies as well as experienced crafters. I bet the Christmas sets are brilliant. I hope you find this blog helpful, next week I really need to start making for my little girls birthday with a heavy focus on my silhouette machine so if you have been thinking about getting one be sure to check back next week.
Don't you just love this time of year?. Crunchy nuts littered on the ground, crispy leaves tumbling from the trees, a cooler breeze but still a touch of warmth, apples and blackberries as far as the eyes can see. I love the shades of yellow, greens, reds and orange and I can't help but bring a few little touches of Autumn into our home. I had to add a touch of Vinyl, the silhouette store is filled with some wonderful Word Art, for mine I have used a little poem by Emily Bronte. This is simply a child's chalk board from the pound shop!. If I can find some more chalk boards I will probably make a few more. My little girl has been coloring blank leaves, this wreath was very simple, you could cut out your own by hand. A hand made felt cone, plus a knitted hedgehog add to the look then. Simply add a few new orange candles, even better if they are scented in Autumnal scents. I have added some pine cones, and potpourri in a vase, a little wooden hedgehog and pumpkin plus a little Autumn sign again a file from the silhouette store. Lastly a lovely Warm Apple Pie candle from the Village Candles to add a wonderful scent to my home.
The next adds to the home will be Halloween!, wow do they have some amazing things to make in the silhouette store!. I hope I have inspired you to add a touch of Autumn to your home. xxxx Hello and welcome to my blog. Thank you for taking a peek. Its early September my name is Lucy and I am a full time mummy to three children and one big hairy dog. For those of you who don't know me I have been running a craft business for last few years. But most of my sales have been made at craft fairs. My decision to close was mainly based on me having to spend so much time at events usually always at weekends, which ultimately meant I was always from children and that just wasn't working for me. So I still need to get my craft addiction this blog is going to help me share it. I hope you will keep checking back to see what I am up to. Lets start. I am a massive Docrafts fan!. I have always wanted to try a goodie bag. These retail at £15 but have £3o worth of products in. This in an older one which I ordered in the sale but by the time I added postage it was about the same price. Hopefully your local retailer should have the latest one in!. If you regularly buy the Docrafts Creativity magazine they always post the latest goody bag details with a picture of what's inside and a few projects you can make. This is a picture of the contents, they follow the new ranges they bring out and I have seen a peek of one of the Christmas goodie bags and it looks fantastic. So you can see I have a large pile of a4 card stock in French Lavender, as well as 6 x6 papers in stunning patterns also from the French lavender collection as well as some note lets, and decoupage sheets. For some one who is new to card making you have a great start as everything matches. I am not really a fan of decoupage, the whole layering is not really my thing. But it has a place and it does make card making a lot easier. So these are a few of the cards I have made so far using mostly these products. Sorry its a bit pic heavy but I have hardly touched this goody bag so its well worth its money.
If you are thinking of giving card making a go be sure to check back as I will be sharing with you some simple card makes soon. I am saving the rest of the bag for Christmas. This includes paper bags, buttons, stickers and labels. You can pop over to the Docrafts web site to see the ranges and goodie bags so its a big thumbs up from me for goodie bags. I hope you like my 1st post, keep checking back my September will be a busy one as I start the plan for my little girls birthday party, as well as make a pumpkin tea cosy,, Autumn sign, and remember to check out what I am up to with my home made Christmas . xxxx |
