Hello how are you?, Did you survive the first week back? My week was full of ups and downs and not nearly as much crafting as I would like. But I did manage to make myself this lovely little charm necklace. These blank rope type necklace came in a pack of three from my local craft shop for £1.50. I reused a jump ring and the charms come from the docrafts country living range embellishment pack. These are so lovely I didn't really want to use them on cards I just wanted to keep them. I think that happens a lot with craft supplies that's why crafters hoard so much!. Anyway I simply attached the teapot and kettle to the jump ring and threaded it onto the necklace. Ahhh I know breaking the rules of odd numbers look better than even but it's ok I can live with that. This cost about £1.20 to make not bad. Could be a fab gift. My sugar scrub Lastly So sorry that I forgot to tell you how to make this and after a few of you requested the recipe let me enlighten you. It's simply a cup of olive oil and a cup of brown sugar. I did add a teaspoon of cinnamon to give it a scent. The oil doesn't dissolve the sugar so the sugar then becomes the scrub with the oil leaving your skin supper soft. A word of warning you need to rinse you and your shower well as oil can make your shower slippery. I'm no expert in skin care but I saw variations of this recipe online. I don't see a reason why it should cause any irritation? Use at your own risk. But my skin is so soft. I will try a salt scrub soon I'll let you know how I get on. 6 hour blanket Last week I decided to make my mother in law a blanket for her birthday which is in the end of September. Yes I know that's not a lot of time! So I searched the internet and found a lap blanket that can be made in 6 hours. So my lovely mum and dad headed off to shawls for me and picked up this lovely soft Marriner Super Chunky pink wool. I have used this before and it's lovely and soft. My plan is to do an hour a night! But this time I'm joining two balls together so it should work up quicker. Last night's efforts. I have a plan to do something a little different with this one so I will give you the pattern for it once it's finished. Wish me luck. I'd love to know what you've been up to why not leave me a comment. As always thanks for reading. Have a lovely weekend xxxx
